Bubble
Open any app in a floating bubble over what you're doing. Two apps, one screen.
Every app, one tap away
Bubble opens the apps you already have in floating windows — the same bubbles Android uses for chat — so you can keep one thing on screen while you use another.
Tap an app in Bubble's drawer and it floats over whatever you were doing. Tap its head to bring it back, drag it away to close it. Open a second one and the two sit side by side in a row, one tap apart.
Android draws the bubble — the frame, the row of heads, the close button. Bubble simply asks it to. That is why it needs no special access to your apps and cannot see inside them.
Bubble has no account, no analytics and no ads. The only thing it ever sends is feedback you write and choose to send. The whole privacy policy is below, and it is short.
Privacy policy
Bubble runs on your device. It has no account and no analytics, and the only thing it ever sends anywhere is feedback you write and choose to send. This page says exactly what it touches, and why.
What Bubble reads
The list of apps installed on your device — their names and icons — so it can show them in the drawer. That is what the drawer is. Bubble does not read anything inside those apps, and it cannot: an app floating in a bubble is drawn by Android, not by Bubble.
Which apps you have opened through Bubble, and which you have pinned, so the drawer can show them first. This is stored on your device only and can be cleared from Settings at any time.
What Bubble stores
Your settings — theme, bubble height, whether the floating button is on — and your recents and pins. All of it is kept in the app's private storage on your device. Uninstalling Bubble deletes all of it.
What Bubble sends
Nothing on its own. There is no crash reporting, no usage analytics and no advertising. The only request Bubble itself makes is the one you start by pressing Send on the feedback form, described next; update checks are done by the Play Store app, not by Bubble.
Feedback you send us
When you voluntarily submit feedback, a bug report or a feature request through the app, we receive the text you typed, the type of report, your email address if you chose to enter one, the app version, and your device model and Android version.
This is stored in a private database (Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore, operated by Google LLC) that only the developer can read, and is used solely to improve the app and, if you gave an email, to reply to you. It is not shared with anyone else and is not used for advertising.
It is kept until the report is resolved or until you ask for it to be removed, whichever comes first. You can ask us to delete it at any time by sending a message from Settings › Send feedback in the app — say which report you mean and it will be deleted.
Third-party services
Firebase (Google LLC) — stores voluntarily submitted feedback. It receives nothing unless you send feedback.
Google Play (Google LLC) — Bubble asks the Play Store app already on your device whether a newer version is available, and occasionally whether to show Google's own rating card. That exchange happens between Google's software on your device; Bubble hands it nothing about you, and it only applies to copies installed from Google Play.
Permissions, and what each is for
Notifications. Android opens a floating bubble by way of a notification; that is the only mechanism it offers. Bubble posts one notification per floating app, and one for the floating button while it is on. It does not send you messages.
Display over other apps. Optional, and only for the floating button. Without it, the button is unavailable and everything else works. Bubble draws the button and its drawer with this permission and nothing else.
Internet. Used for one thing: sending the feedback form. Bubble fetches nothing and sends nothing on its own.
Bubble does not ask for location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage or accessibility access.
Children
Bubble is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone except what is typed into the feedback form by the person sending it.
Changes
If a future version reads, stores or sends anything not described here, this page will change in that same version and the date at the top will move.
Contact
Questions about this policy, and requests to delete feedback you have sent, go through Settings › Send feedback in the app. Every message is read by the developer.
Terms of use
These are the terms on which Bubble is offered. They are short because the app is: it is a way of opening the apps already on your device in floating windows, and nothing more.
What Bubble is
Bubble asks Android to open apps you already have in floating bubbles. The bubbles themselves — the frame, the row of heads, the close button — are drawn and controlled by Android, not by Bubble.
Bubble does not include, modify, or distribute any other app. Each app you open through it runs as itself, under its own terms, and remains its owner's.
Using it
You may use Bubble on any device you are entitled to use, for any lawful purpose. You may not try to extract Bubble's code in order to pass it off as your own, or use Bubble to interfere with another app or with your device's security.
What depends on Android
Floating bubbles are an Android feature, available from Android 11 and switchable by you in Android's settings. Some device makers change or restrict how bubbles behave, and some apps decline to be opened in one. Bubble cannot override either. Where a bubble does not open, or opens differently than expected, that is the platform's decision and not a defect in Bubble.
No warranty
Bubble is provided as is. Reasonable care has gone into it, but it is offered without warranty of any kind, and its author is not liable for loss or damage arising from its use, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
Feedback and suggestions
Anything you send through the feedback form — a bug report, a feature request, a thought — may be used freely to improve Bubble, without any obligation to you. Sending it does not give you a claim on whatever is built as a result, and it does not oblige us to build it.
Privacy
How Bubble handles information is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. The short version: it collects nothing on its own, and the only thing it sends is feedback you choose to send.
Changes
These terms may change with a new version of the app. The date at the top is the date of the version you are reading. Continuing to use Bubble after an update means accepting the terms that ship with it.
